The four-day, town-wide Viva Laughlin! Annual festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month will return for the third consecutive year, Oct. 6-9, with a variety of entertainment options. Viva Laughlin! is one of the largest events showcasing Latino talent including two Latin Grammy winning artists, the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Latina Pageant, trick ropers, folk dancers and much more. The Avi Resort will host this year's 19th annual United Way Chef's Food Fest on Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature up to 15 booths that showcase the talents of chefs along the Colorado River and will provide $15,000 toward the charity. The fourth annual Laughlin Senior Olympics will take place Oct. 19-22. The Laughlin games will continue to have a major emphasis on friendly competition, since they are not a state, regional, nor a national qualifier. All medallions will be presented on-site at the completion of the event or meet. Olympic style medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each competitive event, for each gender, division, and age category offered, when applicable.
