The Aquarius Resort (formerly the Flamingo) is lining up headliners to appear in the Aquarius Pavilion next year. Wayne Newton is set for March 17 with tickets set at $25 and $30. Diamond Rio will follow two weekends later with a show on March 31. In April, ZZ Top will perform on April 27 and 28. Tickets for the 9 p.m. shows will be $55 and $60. The Riverside will have the Anaheim Ballet performing "The Nutcracker" on Dec. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for chidden.

On New Year's Eve, there will be a dance in the Starview Room with Gene White on Dec. 31. VIP tickets for the 9 p.m. event will be $17.50.

The Bullhead City Animal Control department will hold "Paws and Claus" at the Preferred Outlets mall on Monday, Dec. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. BCAC officials will be on hand to answer questions about adopting four-legged family members and best of all pooches can have their picture taken with Santa Claus. The Lone Star World Championship Rodeo is scheduled on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 12 and 13, at the Mojave Crossing event center located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River across from the Avi.

The Fort Mojave Tribal Pow Wow with traditional dances, drums, ceremonies, songs and Grand Entry of participants in traditional dress is set for Feb. 22-24.

The Riverside Resort's "Our Holiday Gifts to You" Promotion" runs through Dec. 31. With this promotion, King of Clubs Players' Club members are eligible to receive free gift cards toward any purchase at a Safeway or Wal-Mart/ Sam's Club affiliated store through December. For every 500 points earned, you'll receive a $5 gift card. Slot points must be earned at single point value.

In addition to the "Celebration of Lights" featuring nearly one million holiday lights outside at the Ramada Express, The Steakhouse inside the resort is also decorated. During the holiday season, the restaurant is like Macy's with holiday decorations enveloping the entire place.

The annual town-wide Laughlin River Run will be held April 25-29 next year. The congregation of thousands of motorcycles from across the country makes this the largest ride-in bike rally in the western United States.

Harrah's Fiesta Showroom will be dark until January. However, football games will still be shown on multiple screens.

The London Bridge and English Village at nearby Lake Havasu City is all decked out for the holiday season with more than one million lights. The annual display runs nightly through Jan. 1.

It is a Hawaiian Christmas at the Riverside Resort through Dec. 20, with "Mele Kalikimaka," a Christmas musical variety production featuring the spirit of the holidays in song and dance as performed by some of the stars of the islands. There will be 3 p.m. matinees on Dec. 12 and 13. Tickets are $27; call 1-800-227-3849.

The show has four leads. Wailana Lee is the daughter of the late legendary songwriter Kui Lee, whose songs have been recorded by such artists as Bing Crosby and Elvis. Manea Manuma from Samoa, along with his brother, Moe, perform and star in their own island revue as the Manuma Brothers. Dino, a former model from Tahiti, reminds people of Julio, Engelbert and Sinatra, when he serenades tourists in hotels on Bora Bora and Papeete. Don Rose's voice is unmistakably his greatest gift.

These four talented performers will be supported by the Hot Lava Dancers in beautiful costumes and the musical talents of the Don Rose Band. "Mele Kalikimaka" is Hawaii's way to say Merry Christmas.

"Fusion" is a production show blending magic, comedy and illusion at the new River Sands Theatre in the River Palms. The award-winning show was a hit at Lake Tahoe's Golden Cabaret for more than two years. "Fusion" is playing nightly except Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. through March 31, 2007. The production showcases award-winning master illusionists Joseph Gabriel and Katalin, who have performed for audiences around the world, and in virtually every major television magic special, most notably the Command Performance for President Reagan. It also stars Danny Cole and Bryson Lang.

Johnny Carson introduced Joseph Gabriel on his Tonight Show for the first time in 1983 and over the next several years, he made seven appearances with Carson. Gabriel made his Las Vegas debut in the "Lido de Paris" at the Stardust Hotel and then became the starring act in "City Lites" at the Flamingo Hilton for 10 consecutive years. Next Gabriel conquered Broadway when he created and opened his own full-evening show entitled, "Magic On Broadway," which ran for 18 months.

Female magician Katalin was born in Budapest, Hungary, and became an apprentice to master magician, Janos Habok. In 1997, Katalin was able to compete and win first place in the Junior Category at, "A Festival for Magicians" in Czech. At age13, she was the youngest person ever to receive this award. In 1998, Katalin again won first place performing sleight-of-hand with doves in the "III. National Magician Junior Festival." That same year, she won the coveted, "Magician of The Year" award. Graduating to grand illusions, in 2004, Katalin worked at The Moulin Rouge in Budapest before moving to Las Vegas and becoming part of "The World's Greatest Magic Show" all-star cast at the Greek Isles Hotel Casino.
