Comedians Darren Carter and Steve Trevino will bring their live adult comedy show to the Ramada Express Pavilion on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $19, call 800-243-6846.
After getting his first big break on Showtime's "Latino Laugh Festival," the red-headed Carter, also known as "Rooster," appeared on many television shows including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and Comedy Central's "Premium Blend." He also appeared in the motion picture "Be Cool" with John Travolta.
Like Carter, Texas-born Trevino also started comedy at a young age starring in his second grade talent show and making people laugh. Trevino's association and friendship with comedian Carlos Mencia has kept him on the road opening shows for Mencia all across the country. His uncanny ability to incorporate real-life scenarios and stories into his entertaining physical humor and strong stage presence keep crowds laughing.
The Riverside is holding its "Tickets to Ride" vehicle-a-week giveaway in May and June. The Colorado Belle will be Rockin' on the River Wednesday, April 26 through Saturday, April 29, with a line-up of blues music and a bevy of gorgeous Hawaiian Tropic contestants.
The entertainment slate will feature the return of the legendary blues singer and guitarist Michael Burks for the fourth year, The Nighthawks, a top musical act out of the Washington, D.C. area, and John Earl & The BoogieMan Band featuring blues singer / songwriter Anne Donahue.
The ladies of Hawaiian Tropic will be competing for the titles of "Biker's Choice" and "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Laughlin," modeling swimwear and biker wear. The live entertainment in the outdoor Center Circle event area is free and will begin in the early afternoon each day.
In addition at the event, there will be vendors, food, beer, Jack Daniels' products and experience museum. The events coincide with the annual spring bike run that draws thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country.
To commemorate this year's River Run, the Colorado Belle has minted a limited edition of 1,000 special souvenir gaming chips. The "Spring River Run" $5 gaming chips will be available for purchase at the casino's Main Cage and circulated at the live table games. The 2006 chips have a night scene of the Colorado Belle on one side and Rachel Faber, winner of the 2005 Miss Hawaiian Tropic Laughlin "Biker's Choice" award, on the opposite side.
